How can I become a Maktab member?
Click on the menu-item "register", fill in your data. You will receive an activationcode by e-mail. You will find an explanation of how to activate your account. After activating your account, you can log in and make a profile.

What is an activation code and how can I get one?
An activation code is a code you receive by email after registration at Maktab.

How can I log In?
You do have an account allready, you can log in at the left column with your username and password. You do not have an account, click on "register" in the mainmenu to make one.

I forgot my password, how can I retrieve it?
By clicking on "forgot password" at the left column. Fill in your e-mailaddress and you will get your password emailed to you.

How safe is using Maktab?
We will never give or sell your personal data like name and e-mailaddress to members and or a third party.

Why can't I change my gender, birthdate and birth Country?
You can not change this data because it is not supposed to change! We deliberately did this to prevent abuse. If you made a mistake contact us and we will change your data once!

How many pictures can I upload?
You can upload up to 4 pictures.

Can I secure my pictures?
Yes, you can choose the next options : everybody (on) Members only (Free+Full) Fullmembers only and Nobody (off)

Can I change my username?
Unfortunatity NOT! We decided not to change usernames to prevent abuse.

How long will my account be valid?
After 3 months of inactivity your profile will be deactivated. After 6 months your profile and account will be deleted!

I want to block someone, how can I do this?
Select the concerning profile and click on "add to blacklist"

How can I remove someone from my blacklist?
Click in your personal menu on "my blacklist". Go to the concering person and click on "remove".

How can I add someone to my favourites?
Select the concerning profile and click on "add to favourites"

Why is my profile not displayed (anymore)?
You do not have a profile yet.
Your profile is secured.
Your profile is blocked/banned.
Your profile is not approved yet.

How can I remove my profile?
You can not delete your profile but you can turn your profiel on and off at any time you want. When you decide not to use Maktab anymore you can delete your account.

What are the advantages of a Full Member?
Full Members have access to our internal Maktab Mail System, Maktab Chat, Maktab Messenger, Maktab Forum etc.

What are the costs of using Maktab?

How can I pay?
Contributions can be paid through PayPal or Bank (money) Tranfer. Credit Card payments will be implemented soon.
